CREATIVE TASK
The problem
With more than 59 million refugees worldwide; we need innovation to support individuals and families fleeing from persecution and conflict zones. We need to do it ourselves, since policy makers don’t win votes by tackling this subject.
Insights
When refugees enter a hostcountry and ask for asylum, the real agony begins. Waiting can take forever. It’s crowded in the refugeecenters and there’s almost nothing else to do there than to wait.
Working is not permitted, as they haven’t been granted asylum yet. Learning the new language is difficult, given the meagre means you get and gettting to know the culture by socialising and mingling with the citizens is difficult due to a two-way working bias, produced by the media.
